All food, drugs, biologics, cosmetics, medical devices, and electronic products that emit radiation, as defined in the FD&C and related Acts, are subject to examination by FDA and/or USDA when they are being imported or offered for import into the United States. USDA also regulates animals, plants/flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables. This means there are stringent regulations that must be met, and sometimes the application of permits. Below are a few links to FDA and USDA sites that might be of assistance in helping facilitate those types of imports. As always Folgueras Customs Broker Corp is there to assist you in understanding these guidelines and regulations.
